Terms of use
The website presents Atelier Tamara de Launay’s jewelry and invites private inquiries. Browsing, adding a piece to the cart, or submitting an inquiry does not place an order or reserve a piece. The cart sends a nonbinding inquiry about selected pieces. No payment is taken on this site; any final specifications, price, and payment arrangements are confirmed separately in writing.
Images, materials & prices
Editorial images may be AI-assisted visualizations and can differ from the finished piece. Descriptions, carat and gold weights, stone counts, sizes, availability, and displayed “from” prices are estimates or starting indications. Displayed starting prices follow the selected natural or lab-grown diamond option. The final stone origin, grading or certification if applicable, specifications, availability, delivery, shipping costs, duties, taxes, and price must be confirmed in a written proposal before you order.
Advance payment protection
For a prepaid order shipped to a consumer in Korea, you may choose an available payment escrow arrangement or an applicable consumer damage compensation insurance arrangement before transferring funds. If you choose either protection, we will arrange its use or conclude the applicable contract as required by Korean law and explain the provider, procedure, and any applicable exception in the individual written quote. Please tell us your choice before making any bank transfer; do not send payment until the arrangement and verified account details are confirmed.
Commissions & orders
For a custom commission, the design, materials, budget, timetable, payment schedule, changes, cancellation or return terms, and any care or service commitments will be set out individually before an order is accepted. A conversation or proposal is not a guarantee of a stone, price, delivery date, or finished appearance. Any consumer rights that apply under the law governing a particular purchase remain in effect; nothing here excludes them.
Made-to-order pieces, exchanges & returns
Every piece, including the fine jewelry collection, is made for one client to the specifications confirmed in the individual order; we do not maintain finished stock for ordinary resale. Once production has begun, we generally cannot accept an exchange, cancellation, or return for a change of mind where applicable law permits that restriction. Before accepting payment, we will separately notify you of any legally applicable withdrawal restriction and obtain your express written or electronic consent where required. An order-specific notice and consent do not remove rights arising from a defect, damage, incorrect specifications, or other rights that cannot legally be waived. Contact us promptly if there is a problem so we can arrange the remedy required by law and the confirmed order.
Lifetime care & workmanship warranty
1. Scope and duration This voluntary care service and workmanship warranty apply to made-to-order fine jewelry and bespoke high jewelry made and sold by the atelier (each, a “piece”). They are available to a verified owner while Atelier Tamara de Launay remains in business. A gift recipient or later owner may also use the service after the ownership verification described below.
2. Workmanship defects A “workmanship defect” is a problem in the metal fabrication or construction and setting that existed when the piece was delivered and becomes apparent during ordinary wear. Inherent gemstone inclusions or physical properties, impact or pressure damage, ordinary scratches and wear, natural plating wear, chemical exposure, loss, theft, and accidents are not, by themselves, workmanship defects. Damage caused by a third-party repair or alteration is outside this voluntary warranty, but unrelated defects and statutory rights remain unaffected.
3. Assessment and remedy We will examine the piece and relevant information and explain our assessment in writing. For a confirmed workmanship defect, we will repair or replace the affected part without charge. If an identical material or gemstone is unavailable, we will discuss a substitute of comparable quality with you before proceeding. If a set stone becomes loose or is lost, we will assess the cause and remedy a confirmed workmanship defect; a recent inspection is not a precondition to rights provided by law.
4. Ownership and transfer Please present an order confirmation, warranty document, or equivalent evidence of purchase and ownership when requesting service. A gift recipient or subsequent owner may update the owner record with us; we will explain the information needed. Registration does not restrict statutory consumer rights.
5. Complimentary care For each piece, up to two visits in every 12-month period measured from delivery include prong and setting inspection, professional cleaning, and minor prong adjustment that requires no added metal or soldering. Additional visits, retipping, replating, polishing, resizing, and design changes are separate services. We will quote any charge and obtain your agreement before work begins.
6. Intake, shipping, and storage Contact us before sending a piece so we can arrange intake and advise on secure shipping. We will disclose shipping charges for work outside the warranty in advance. The atelier will cover reasonable shipping costs necessary to remedy a confirmed workmanship defect. If a completed piece remains uncollected for 90 days after notice, we may charge a reasonable storage fee only after giving separate written notice of the amount and start date. We will not dispose of the piece without lawful process.
7. Legal rights This voluntary service is additional to consumer rights under applicable law. It does not limit statutory remedies, including repair, replacement, or refund where required, or exclude legal liability for loss or damage caused by the atelier’s intentional acts or negligence while a piece is in its care. New voluntary services may end if the atelier ceases business; accepted pieces and legal obligations will be handled under applicable law.
Website content & external services
Site photographs, text, designs, and brand marks are for personal viewing and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. Links to Instagram and outside sources take you to services with their own terms and privacy practices. The website is provided for general information; to the extent the law permits, the atelier is not responsible for interruptions or errors outside its reasonable control. This does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
Privacy & inquiries
The contact and cart inquiry forms send the name, email, message, and any selected pieces or preferences you provide to Formspree, a third-party form service. Formspree stores the submission in the atelier’s account and sends a notification to the atelier. We use these details to respond and discuss a proposal. No order or payment is created by submitting the form. Please avoid sensitive personal information. You may instead choose to contact us through Instagram, which applies its own privacy practices.
Browser choices & third parties
The site stores your language selection, wishlist, and cart contents in your browser’s local storage. These stay on your device unless you share a link or submit an inquiry. The hosting provider may process routine technical data needed to deliver and secure the site. Formspree processes form submissions under its privacy practices; the site also loads Google Fonts. Instagram and linked publications may process information when you visit them. We do not sell inquiry details through this website.
Your choices & contact
You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent to the atelier by contacting @atelier_tamara_de_launay on Instagram or replying to our inquiry correspondence. We handle such requests subject to applicable legal obligations and retain inquiry correspondence only as reasonably needed for the inquiry, any subsequent relationship, and legal requirements. Formspree also stores submissions in the atelier’s account according to its plan and retention settings. If a transaction proceeds, a separate written order may provide further privacy and purchase information. This notice may be updated; the date at the top of this page shows the current version.
